Pressure Jiu Jitsu & MMA students lined up on the academy mats

Jiu Jitsu · Muay Thai · MMA

Learn to fight well. Start as a total beginner.

Adults and kids with no martial arts background train jiu-jitsu, grappling and MMA with coaches who watch every round.

Pressure, not ego

Hard training and a room where nobody needs to prove anything. Higher belts look after lower belts, every round.

Technique first

Every class teaches something you can use, then gives you live rounds to test it. You leave knowing what you worked on.

Everyone gets coached

Beginners, competitors and hobbyists share the same mat, and each one gets attention from a coach during class.

Our story

Built by lifelong martial artists

Pressure Jiu Jitsu & MMA was founded on a simple idea: a serious training room can still be a welcoming one. Our coaches came up through jiu-jitsu, wrestling and Muay Thai, competed at every level available to them, and built the academy they wished they had started in.

Decades of combined mat time sit behind every class here — black belts, amateur and pro fight corners, and thousands of hours coaching complete beginners through their first six months. That experience shows up as patience: technique explained clearly, rounds matched to your level, and someone watching every time you step on the mat.

Today the academy trains kids, hobbyists, first responders and competitors side by side. Whatever brought you here — self-defense, fitness, or a title shot — you get the same coaching and the same standard.

Competition

Pressure in the cage and on the podium

Competing is never required, but the students who want it get cornered by coaches who have been there.

Programs

Five ways to train

Every class is built so a first-timer can follow it and an experienced grappler still gets pushed.

Questions

What beginners ask us first

I have never trained before. Can I start here?
Yes. Most people who walk in have never trained a day in their life. Beginners drill fundamentals with a coach before joining live rounds, and nobody is thrown into sparring on day one.
What should I wear to my first class?
Shorts without pockets or zippers, a t-shirt or rash guard, and a water bottle. No uniform needed to start. If you take a gi class, we can point you to a gi once you decide to keep training.
Do I need to be in shape first?
No. You set the pace in your own rounds and you can sit one out any time. Conditioning comes from showing up, not from getting fit before you start.
Is there a kids program, and what ages?
Yes. Kids jiu-jitsu runs in age and size groups with no striking. Call or text us with your child's age and we will tell you which group fits and when it meets.

Another year of meaning to start is a year not trained.

Call or text the academy and we will get you into the next class that fits your week.
